Gravediggaz - Six Feet Deep

This is classic 90s hip hop that is way too slept on. How come I have never heard this in a DJ set before? Gravediggaz are The Rzarector (RZA), The Gatekeeper (Frukwan), The Grym Reaper (Too Poetic), and The Undertaker (Prince Paul). The album was produced by RZA and Prince Paul and features guest spots from Killah Priest, Masta Ace, Kurious, and more. Download it from my homie.

New Cunninlynguists Video

Cunninlynguists - Never Come Down (The Brownie Song)

I got it from Zone 2 Homebrew.

The Next Month is Going to Rule

Black Lips are playing at The Variety Playhouse tonight. Listen to their new album.

Scion Rock Fest is at the Masquerade tomorrow. Get there at noon if yo want to get in. The best band on the bill that I'm aware of is Boris. Here they are playing at Criminal Records back in '07.

On Monday at Lenny's, Mr. SOS (from Cunninlynguists' second album SouthernUnderground), Akil from Jurrassic 5, and Cashmere the Pro are performing for FREE! Here is Cashmere the Pro and Celph Titled's "Clap" from Celph's album The Gatalog. It produced by DJ Kno from Cunninlynguists.

On Wednesday, Bad Brains play at the Masquerade. Here they are performing at CBGBs in NY in 1982.

On Tuesday, March 10, King Khan and the Shrines play the Masquerade. If you have not heard them, download their greatest hits over at Atliens Download. They are a 10-piece straight up rock n roll band with a large horn section. I hear they even have a cheerleader. Thomas Function, Golden Triangle, and the Balkans open.

On Friday, March 13th at Lenny's Bar, The Constellations and Lee Harvey Oswald. Here is Lee Harvey Oswald perforing at the DAEL.

On March 19th at the Earl, it's JAX (R.I.P.) Birthday Celebration. Live performances from Binkis Recs, Mars Ill, and Minamina Goodsong. It will be hosted by Senor Kaos and Mafioso and Rasta Root will be spinning. This will be Binkis Recs' first time performing since JAX's passing, so come out and support.
Here is Binkis Recs performing at the 5 Spot:

On March 26th, HEALTH will perform at The Earl. HEALTH is a noise-rock band from Cali. Here is a video of them:

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - Old Money

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's Old Money was just released on vinyl from Stones Throw Records. Atliens Download has the digital version up for free. For the Mars Volta guitarist who releases like 8 solo albums per year, this one is definitely top 3.

More New DOOM

Both tracks produced by the late J Dilla.

The Downtown Connector

From wikipedia:
"In Atlanta, Georgia, the Downtown Connector or 75/85 is the overlapped connector of Interstate 75 and Interstate 85 through the core of the city. Beginning at the I-85/Langford Parkway interchange, the Downtown Connector runs generally due north, meeting the east-west Interstate 20 in the middle. Just north of this is the Grady Curve around Grady Memorial Hospital. Continuing north, the terminus of the Downtown Connector is the Brookwood Interchange or Brookwood Split in the Brookwood area of the city. The overall length of the Downtown Connector is approximately seven and one-half miles.

... The Downtown Connector carries more than 323,000 vehicles per day at its busiest point — between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Edgewood Avenue, while no portion of the Downtown Connector carries fewer than 236,000 vehicles per day. The area around the connector and associated interchanges are considered one of the 10 most congested stretches of interstate in the U.S...."
