John Robinson - Outta Control (produced by DOOM)

John Robinson killed it this weekend at the Apache. There was a lot of video cameras in the building so hopefully we'll have some footage to post later. I'll be checking for it, but until then, here's a music video for "Outta Control".

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Always Leaks.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta is a machine. This dude puts out an album every season it seems like. This one, titled Cryptomnesia features Cedric Bixler-Zavala on every track, making it almost a Mars Volta album. The only catch is you get the amazing drummer, Zach Hill (from Hella) playing on every track as well. The new Mars Volta drops in June, but for now check out Cryptomnesia.

Atliens Download's got it.

Here's a video of Zach Hill destroying the drums.

Upcoming Things To Do

Tonight at Lenny's: Ricky Raw's Free For All. This time Animal House and Bone Crusher will be there. I don't know anything about Animal House, but Bone Crusher is usually pretty funny. I've got a video of him from a3c last year that I'll post soon.

On Friday at the 529, Lee Harvey Oswald and Deaf Judges will perform.

The Digable Planets concert on Saturday got cancelled.

Next Thursday, at the Apache it's Speakeasy #5 with C-Rayz Walz, John Robinson, and Newberry Jam with Catalyst and Ty-vicious. There will be live graffiti and a freestyle cypher with a bunch of ATL all-stars like Senor Kaos, Clan Destined, and Stahhr the Femcee.

Friday the 17th at the Bench, another local all star line up. Senor Kaos, Binkis Recs, Stahhr, and 4ize! Sounds great. Admission is 2 people for 5 dollars.

Also on Friday the 17th. It's the Munchies at Cenci. The Munchies takes place every third Friday and features some ATL's freshest DJs, Floyd the Locsmif, AmDex, DJ Fudge and DJ Dug Boogie. Dug Boogie has a podcast that he does regularly that is definitely worth checking out. It's called the Hop Stew Mix Show.
